Workers at the Audi car factory in Ingolstadt, where automobile manufacturer’s headquarters are also based, downed tools for two hours at midnight on Friday as unions promised further strike action over higher pay and a shorter working week.
The IG Metall union, which represents around 2.5 million workers in Germany, want a six percent pay increase for its members and are also seeking to reduce the minimum working week to 28 hours.
