Russia's highest volcano, the Klyuchevskoi, which resides on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia's Far East was captured spewing huge ash clouds rising that rose to a staggering eight kilometres, (4.97 miles) on Friday.
Winds carried the billowing ash to nearby settlements, in time for national Volcano day, which is set to be marked with dances, yoga and classic music on nearby Kozelski volcano.
